Lot Line Adjustment

When is a Lot Line adjustment (LLA) Permit Required?

A Lot Line Adjustment is any division of land not requiring a subdivision tract map, as specified by the Subdivision Map Act where:

  • Adjustment is sought between four or less existing adjacent parcels
  • The land taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and
  • A greater number of parcels than originally existed is not thereby created.

See the Subdivision Map Act for details.
