Submitting Discretionary Permits Online

All applicants must contact the Planning Division prior to submitting a discretionary permit application. Submitting an application without prior contact may result in delay or rejection of your application. Please contact:

Planning Division Responsibilities 

Primary responsibilities of the Planning Division include the review of private and public development projects in conformance with established policy and regulations and the administration and update of the City's General Plan, assuring that it reflects community values and state statutes. Planning also carries out the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the California Coastal Act, and the Subdivision Map Act. The Planning Division is directly responsible for providing staff support to the City's Planning Commission.
