William P. Brough -Council Member

Bill Brough was elected to the Dana Point City Council November 2, 2010 and took the oath of office December 13, 2010.

Bill currently serves as Chief of Staff to our California State Assemblywoman Diane Harkey (73rd Assembly District.) Previously, he operated Brough Consulting, Inc.; a government affairs consulting firm from 2005-2011. Bill served as a Presidential Appointee at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC from 2001-2004 and as a Congressional Aide to our former Congressman Chris Cox from 1996-2000.

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving on active duty from 1986-1990 and in 1991 and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1995. Bill and his wife have two children.
