Our goal in Human Resources is to attract and retain a highly talented and qualified employee workforce, while keeping in line with the City of Dana Point’s motto: “Harboring the Good Life.”

Human Resources, a division of the Administrative Services Department, implements and maintains a central personnel system for the City, providing guidance and support to all departments for recruitment, selection, classification/salary structures, employee benefits, employee relations, employee training, labor negotiations, performance evaluation, employee development and other personnel programs and processes.

The Human Resources team is committed to developing and maintaining a highly skilled and diverse workforce that prides itself on service excellence. We serve and recruit for positions in the following departments: City Manager, Administrative Services, Community Services and Parks, Community Development, Disaster Preparedness and Facilities, and Public Works and Engineering Services.
