Science Night; Hearts in the Sand with Dr. Hilary Lackey

SCIENCE NIGHT

Keep exploring and learning at our Science Night events! Every 2nd Wednesday (except December) scientists, naturalists, and esteemed experts explore a range of topics regarding natural sciences and our environment.

 

"Hearts in the Sand"

Come learn about the heart-shaped cockles of the clam family Cardiidae in past and present oceans of Western North America.  We will also discuss the role that bivalves play in our marine ecosystem.

Dr. Hilary Lackey teaches Oceanography at Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, CA.
